Antony has struggled to work his way into Ten Hag's plans this season and has played just one minute of Premier League football, coming on as a late substitute against Brighton. The Brazilian contributed just five goal involvements last season in all competitions, and Ten Hag has appeared to question his attitude in training.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Ten Hag has an opportunity to rotate his squad when United take on Barnsley in the League Cup in midweek but it remains to be seen if Antony will be given a chance to play. The Dutchman has indicated that performances in training must improve if he wants to receive more minutes.

Ten Hag told reporters: "We have training every day and the players have to earn the right to play. When players are doing the right things in training, when the attitude is good and they show performance in training then they will earn the right to play."
